The Students' Council
The students' council meet every three weeks with Sinéad O Meara, our school principal.

Council Members
Congratulations to our newly elected President Jack and our Vice President Delilah.
Both will work on the Students' Council until June 2010.

Student council meeting minutes of Monday 19th October 2009.
Chairperson: Sinéad O Meara
Attendance: Sinead O'Meara, Joy Sherlock, Morgan Moore, Sophie Mc Loughlin, Sinead Farley.
Absent: Jack O'Connell.
1.We discussed roles at a meeting and how a meeting is chaired and how we write up minutes.
2. Students board- Pictures/photos. Council to make up an area in the porch with photos, minutes of meetings and any additional information.
3. School newsletter- Council to be more involved. Going to meet with Viv-class teacher re this.
3. Sinead gave information to the council regarding the parents group and upcoming events.
4. Items discussed re; fundraising needed for interactive boards for all classes.
Need to do the school walk to fundraise- where the children are involved.
- Jigsaws/games for wet days.
- Books, net for tennis-yard and tennis racquets.
- Indoor plants to make school nicer.
-Council to bring any ideas/concerns to the next meeting.
5. Everyone should be charged €1 into the school play which takes place in Trinity Sports and Leisure in Decemeber.
6. Morgan to talk to Celine -parents council re trying to organise a school family trip at least 3 times per year- Parents group to organise this.
9. Decision- Sunday is the most suitable day for family days as children have sport/matches on Saturdays.
10. Suitable suggestions for parents : Imaginosity/ Picnic to beach ( last term) / Bray- climb mountain / Attend events & festivals / Walking trips and Ice skating.
Bus to be organised by parents.
First trip to take place early February.
11. Council to meet every 3/4 weeks with Sinéad. Sinéad to give feedback regarding an agreed report that will be relevant to the Board of Management. Celine will feedback decisions to the parents' Group
